Project overview and conception:  The goal of this project was to utilize the concept attainment teaching strategy with modern technology.  As a group we chose a topic, birds, that was applicable to the 2nd grade biology student target audience.  The lesson was taught using a role playing mystery in which the audience needed to utilize the technological tools below to arrive at a conclusion.

Peers enjoyed the theme of the project and thought that it, along with the use of QR codes, made for a very engaging lesson.  We ran into an issue with the QR activity taking somewhat longer than anticipated, which in turn made it difficult to complete the lesson in the allotted time.  If I were to revise the project, I would shorten the QR activity to allow more time for the over-all lesson.

Technology and teaching strategies:  The main teaching strategy of this project was concept attainment.  To make the lesson interactive and engaging we utilized a PowerPoint presentation, role playing, QR codes linking physical props to digital information ("clues"), group work, and a final poll.
