ETEC 622: E-Learning Theory and Design
Title: Sustainability: For Hawaii and Beyond Contributing members: Sean Walsh Project overview and conception: The goal of this project was to create a MOOC (Massive Open Online Class) framework and accompanying facilitators guide. With an interest in sustainability, I decided to create a MOOC that would teach sustainability strategies in the areas of energy, water, agriculture, and waste management. The overall MOOC was well received, however, feedback revealed a need to further develop assessment methods. Technology and teaching strategies: The developed MOOC utilized a Weebly course site (including videos and documents), discussion forums, surveys, and synchronous meetings (through Blackboard Collaborate and Skype). |
